When we opened our doors in 2013, we knew we wanted to offer stylists a supportive and inspiring environment with a respectful company culture for our team to thrive. This is still a top priority for us in 2026.
Over the years, we have responded to changes within the industry, providing stylists at any stage of their career to thrive in our team. We have both salon employee stylists and independent contractors. This allows us to offer stylists the flexibility and freedom they crave to run their own mini business, while freeing up some of the responsibilities of being their employer. Rest assured, we all follow the same principles in guest care.

Master Hairstylist & Educator
With over 20 years of experience, David is recognized for his precision, creativity, and ability to create styles that feel both modern and timeless. Trained at world-renowned academies including Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, and Jacques Dessange New York, he has developed a signature approach that blends innovation with enduring elegance.
Tania Martino
Salon Manager
With over 15 years of experience in customer service, sales coaching, and management—along with more than a decade in the hair industry—Tania brings leadership, organization, and a passion for guest care to her role as Salon Manager. As both David’s wife and business partner, she is the welcoming presence at the heart of Capelli Salon d.Martino.

As the first point of contact at Capelli Salon d.Martino, Rolland greets every guest with warmth, professionalism, and care. With a strong background in customer service, he ensures each detail of your visit—from booking to check-out—flows effortlessly.

Nicky’s hairstyling journey began with a program that was cut short, but finding Capelli Salon and training under David helped her discover the perfect place to grow.

Originally from Australia, Kara has taken her love for hair across the globe, living in London, Dublin, and now calling Vancouver home since 2018. With over 12 years of experience, she’s passionate about creating beautiful blondes, dimensional highlights, and bold, vivid colors.
Sonia Resendes
Independent Master Hairstylist
With over 24 years of experience, Sonia is an award-winning stylist whose work spans Vancouver, Toronto, London, and Los Angeles. A graduate of Vidal Sassoon Academies in Santa Monica, London, and Toronto, she continues to stay ahead of trends in both hair and fashion. Sonia is renowned for her creative cutting and coloring techniques, delivering fashion-forward looks with precision and artistry.
Lucy
part-time greeter
Lucy is our part time greeter, full time day maker. She is a friendly bullmastiff who will be your best friend for belly rubs. She is an integral part of our team, bringing smiles and dog therapy.
For those who are uncomfortable with dogs, we are dog free on Tuesday’s.
